Award marks second consecutive year of H+K receiving this prestigious recognition
WorldatWork, the nonprofit HR association and compensation authority, today announced that Hill+Knowlton Strategies U.S. has earned the organization’s Seal of Distinction, a unique mark of excellence that identifies industry-leading employee total rewards programming and benefits.
The prestigious Seal of Distinction has been awarded since 2012 to companies that meet defined standards of workplace programs, policies and practices weighted on several factors, such as the complexity of implementation, required organizational resources, perceived breadth of access and overall level of commitment from leadership. Hill+Knowlton Strategies fosters work-life blend through its H+K Inside and H+K Outside policies, which include benefits such as industry-leading paid parental leave, monthly fitness reimbursements, local and global mentoring programs, sabbaticals, office exchange programs and generous paid time off.
“We remain committed to making benefit and culture decisions that help our employees grow, shine and connect through their work, while also placing a strong emphasis on supporting their lives outside of H+K,” said Beth Balsam, U.S. president and CEO of H+K. “The feedback we receive from staff indicates they feel valued and proud to work at H+K, and we’ve seen our employee retention numbers rise on the strength of our H+K Inside and Outside commitments. That’s the perfect win-win scenario for us.”
From this year’s record number of applications for the Seal of Distinction, H+K’s win places the firm in a select group of only 80 high-profile recipients that have earned the seal in multiple years. Seal recipients represent industries of education, finance, government, health, law, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals from 36 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
Beyond this repeat awarding of the Work-Life Seal of Distinction, H+K has achieved many other honors and accolades recently for its workplace, careers and culture, including certification as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®; an In2 SABRE for Most Innovative Agency Initiative and an Americas SABRE for PR Agency Employee Program from The Holmes Report; a North American Excellence Award for Employer Branding and Recruiting; as well as a place among the Top Places to Work in PR from PR News. In addition, H+K’s “Kids” policy, H+K HER women’s executive network and other programs that help empower women earned H+K recognition from PR News as one of the Organizations of the Year for Diversity in PR.
