Robert C. Ferris has strong global experience in corporate branding, marketing communications, reputation management and media relations, working in both corporate and agency environments. During his career, Robert has built a successful track record in executive-suite positioning, crisis management, capital markets communications, and internal communications, working primarily in the industrial manufacturing, energy, and technology sectors.
Prior to joining H+K Strategies, Robert was Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Chief Communications Officer for Axalta Coating Systems, a $5 billion global industrial manufacturing and automotive coatings leader. At Axalta, Robert led the Company’s internal, external, and capital markets communications strategies, as well as its digital marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, which included STEM education and environmental stewardship.
Before joining Axalta, Robert was Vice President, External Communications and Public Affairs at Honeywell, a $40 billion multi-national industrial manufacturing technology company. At Honeywell, Robert was chief company spokesperson on all global corporate and financial media matters and was a member of its global communications leadership council and government relations team. During his 14 year tenure, Robert developed and executed a globally recognized corporate positioning strategy and CEO thought leadership platform, raising the Company’s profile with investors, regulators and customers.
Earlier in his career, Robert held senior management positions at GCI Group and MWW Group, both large global public relations consulting firms, where he provided strategic communications counsel on corporate positioning and response to critical issues, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, turnarounds, restructurings, executive transitions, shareholder activism, labor union relations, and corporate governance matters. Robert was also Assistant Vice President at Bull & Bear Securities, where he held Series 7 and Series 63 certification.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors in History, from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
